MATH:
Multiplication facts are key for 4th grade. Please remember to use "My Math App" on cell phones or iPads, flash cards or simply writing them down on paper if your child doesn't know their multiplication tables. Students can practice basic facts on their own any time using IXL.com or thatquiz.org assignments.
We often have assignments in Study Island to practice the skills we are working on in class. Please use it at home as much as you wish. Sometimes students don't have enough time during the day to finish assignments. They are welcome to finish work at home. Please use all the websites on their Clever app. It is free!
SCIENCE:
We use HMH Science, Study Island, and a variety of tools to cover our science standards. I love to do more hands-on activities and experiments. I love teaching Science and students love the projects and labs. I am looking forward to having a wonderful year!
Most needed supplies that are not required, but very helpful:
Earbuds - Please ask your son/daughter if they have headphones or earbuds. Many have lost or misplaced them from the beginning of the year. We have many assignments that are on chrome books that are read to them, and they watch educational videos. It is crucial that they keep a working pair of headphones or earbuds on them.
