Miss Delk’s first grade Hawks learned about the United States Constitution and what it means to be a good citizen for Constitution Day. To put their learning into practice, students worked together to brainstorm and create their very own classroom constitution!

They discussed the rules and expectations that would help make their classroom a safe, respectful, peaceful, and welcoming place to learn. Students shared their ideas and decided what they believed was important for everyone in their classroom.

To finish their special classroom constitution, each student proudly added their signature using a feather pen, just like the Founding Fathers did when they signed the Constitution. 🪶📜🇺🇸

They even had Miss Delk to sign it too! ❤️
