We would like to take this time to recognize Mrs. Amellia Melton as our November Faculty/Staff member of the month!
We are thankful for her help and support in S-Team, her work as a teacher consultant, and so much more that she does behind the scenes. As we move through the year, and give thanks for our tremendous team, we would like to express our gratitude for all of Mrs. Melton's hard work!

AES will be having a food drive November 10-21 to gather food donations for the closet in the library. This closet has clothes, shoes, food and hygiene items available to students as needed. The goal is for us to stock up so we can send food with those in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons especially.
The class with the most donations will win a pizza party! 🍕
Each item counts as 1 donation. (Ex. A 12 pack of Ramen noodles = 12 donations)
Thank you for your help with this project. We can't wait to see which class brings in the most donations!

Parents don't forget to fill out the online funding survey! This will help get extra funding for our school as well as fee waiver eligibility for your child! Mrs. Goolsby is having a little classroom competition to see who can get the most surveys filled out. Right now Mrs. Moffitt's class is in the lead with 90% completed! 👏🏻 Overton County Schools needs your help! Every family is asked to fill out the Household Survey. Your child’s school is dependent upon Federal, State, and Local government funding to operate. 👉👉https://www.oc-sd.com/page/federal-funding-survey Filling out this application can make a big difference for your child and your child’s school. This information can ensure… -Eligibility for Fee Waiver -Increased Funding to Support Student Education -Additional Funding for Technology -Additional Funding for the Arts, Music, and Wellness -Scholarship Opportunities -Discounted or waived Fees for exams such as ACT, AP, Industry Certifications, etc. Every application HELPS!

Mrs. Blair has put together list of local locations for food resources for anyone who may be in need.
