Some of Mrs. Mansell's Guidance classes were surprised with a special visitor from the past this week- Elizabeth Cady Stanton! History came to life as she read her story of courage and perseverance in the fight for women's right to vote. She reminded students how our very own Overton County native and Governor A.H. Roberts continued the fight until Tennessee ratified the 19th Amendment in 1920, making women's right to vote part of the Constitution.
